About Our Club

The Rotary Club of Canberra Sunrise
The Rotary Club of Canberra Sunrise celebrated its 20th anniversary in October 2013.  The Club comprises about 35 men and women, who are committed to the ideals of Rotary and contributing to a better local, national and international community.

The Club is a breakfast club, and meets every Thursday morning at The Commonwealth Club, 25 Forster Crescent, Yarralumla.

Club meetings are from 7.15am for a 7.30am start and finish promptly at 8.30am.  Typically, Club meetings involve some fellowship, a little club business and a short presentation by a guest speaker.

Rotary Clubs and Rotary International
The Rotary motto Service above Self conveys the humanitarian spirit of the 1.2 million global members of Rotary International. Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful community and international service projects characterise Rotary worldwide.

In the spirit of Rotary, the key drivers of the Rotary Club of Canberra Sunrise are ‘fun, fellowship and service’. We work with local, national and international organisations to assist those in need through a variety of community service projects and development opportunities.

We may be a local group, but we are also part of a family that reaches around the world. Through our relationships with other Rotary clubs we have enhanced capacity and capability to engage in larger projects.
