The RCCS DreamCricket Gala Day was held on Tuesday 5 November at the Radford College main oval for 118 children with a disability from seven schools across the ACT region.  The Gala Day was  opened by Mr Ric Smith AO PSM, President of the ACT Lord’s Taverners and the main sponsor of the Gala Day.  Over the course of the morning the children took part in a wide range of cricket based activities followed by a sausage sizzle and fresh fruit lunch before they were all presented with DreamCricket medallions to commemorate their participation and DreamCricket sun hats to remind them of a great day out.

Feedback from the schools shows that they all thoroughly enjoyed the event, their cricketing skills were demonstrably enhanced by their participation, and it is believed that they will have gained improved self-confidence and wellbeing from their individual achievements.

Overall it was a very successful day and great thanks go to Radford College and all the volunteers, from RCCS and other clubs, who made it all possible.
