A Message from the Club President

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Canberra Sunrise's website.  Please enjoy looking around our website, finding out more about what we do, and the hugely beneficial impact that is being achieved by the worldwide network of Rotary Clubs.

The aim of Rotary is to represent service in the community; the Rotary motto is ‘Service above Self', so it's no surprise that all Rotarians have a genuine desire to try and help those who are disadvantaged and, equally important, to make a major contribution to the development of our future youth leaders. 

The members of Canberra Sunrise are a well-motivated group of men and women (roughly half of each) who enjoy each other's company and take great delight in supporting our various projects.  These cover a very broad spectrum: on one hand we contribute fully to the Rotary International project to eliminate polio throughout the world (YES we are very nearly there!); on a smaller scale we ensure that disadvantaged children within our local community have a proper breakfast before they go to school.  And there are many other projects in between.

If you would like to find out more about what we do, why not come and join us for breakfast?  You will be made very welcome and I'm sure that you will be pleasantly surprised by what you see and hear.

We meet every Wednesday at 07:15a.m. at the Hotel Kurrajong, National Circuit, Barton.  The meeting starts at 07:30a.m. and ends punctually at 08:30a.m.
